Kevin Rabichow Takes Down WPT Playground Championship $10,500 CAD High Roller

Kevin Rabichow emerged victorious from a field of 64 entries in the 2024 World Poker Tour Playground Championship $10,500 no-limit hold’em high roller, overcoming a final table with multiple bracelet winners on his way to hoisting the trophy.

The American-born resident of Toronto earned $152,006 USD for the win. This was his first recorded live tournament victory. The 2021 World Series of Poker $100,000 buy-in runner-up now has nearly $4.6 million in tournament earnings to his name.

This was far from the first time that Rabichow secured a big score at Playground Poker Club in Kahnawake, Ontario. In 2019 he finished second in the partypoker MILLIONS North America $10,300 CAD main event, earning $481,000 (the third-largest live payday of his career).

Bracelet winner Tommy Nguyen finished sixth for $25,344. 2023 WSOP $25,000 heads-up championship winner Chanracy Khun finished fourth for $41,472. 2018 partypoker MILLION Grand Final Barcelona main event champion and 2010 WSOP $1,500 no-limit hold’em event winner Pascal LeFrancois was the eventual runner-up, earning $111,341 for his strong showing.

LeFrancois now has more than $7.1 million in career cashes after this, his 63rd recorded in-the-money finishes on the live circuit.

The $459,456 prize pool was awarded to the top eight finishers. The tournament sported a $200,000 CAD guarantee, which was more than tripled, as the 64 entries resulted in $640,000 CAD to be paid out.
