Steve Wynn Lowers Price of NYC Penthouse after No Buyer Is Found

Billionaire and casino mogul Steve Wynn has been trying to sell a luxurious penthouse in New York City. However, since no buyer has been found yet, the businessman was forced to lower the price by some $20 million.

Steve Wynn Failed to Sell the Luxurious Property

According to Realtor, the residence on sale is currently the priciest home on sale in the United States. The 50 Central Park S property takes up the 30th and 31st floors, covering some 10,875 square feet of space.

With a luxurious interior and a picturesque vista of Central Park and the Manhattan skyline, the property also includes a 44-foot living room overlooking Central Park, and a huge terrace. Designed by Emery Roth, the duplex penthouse also includes three bedrooms, a library, a media room, a fitness center, a massage room, a dining room with a western-facing terrace, and a breakfast room with a northern terrace.

The property was put on sale for $90 million two years ago. However, since no buyer could be found for two years, Steve Wynn decided to lower the price by $20 million.

Despite that, 50 Central Park S # 30/31 remains the most expensive home on the market as of the time of this writing. It is tailed by a seaside retreat in Malibu, which is being sold for $65.5 million, and a Balboa Peninsula estate, which would cost its buyers $58 million.

In other news, Steve Wynn, along with other executives, reached a $70 million settlement in a federal court in Nevada. The lawsuit stemmed from sexual misconduct allegations that were allegedly concealed, misleading shareholders between 2016 and 2018.

Wynn Resorts has been busy dealing with similar lawsuits. Last month, the company came to a settlement agreement with nine anonymous women who had filed a sexual harassment lawsuit against the business in 2019.

In the meantime, the federal appeals court dismissed a lawsuit filed against Steve Wynn by the US Department of Justice that sought to have the billionaire registered as a foreign agent. The accusations dated to 2017 when Wynn lobbied then-POTUS Donald Trump to extradite Guo Wengui, a Chinese billionaire and an outspoken critic of the Chinese government.

Wynn, on the other hand, had submitted a defamation lawsuit filed against media outlet the Associated Press (AP), which was dismissed at the beginning of September.
