With the 2024 Las Vegas Grand Prix approaching once again and due to take place on November 23, Nevadans have been grumbling about the disruption of daily lives they have to undergo.
Strip Club Goes Anti Grand Prix and Wants You to Join In
Businesses are cut off, traffic congested, and the general mood is not one of ebullient expectation, but rather of an excruciating holiday weekend with the in-laws. To help alleviate the angst or perhaps channel the hatred, the Crazy Horse III strip club is now hosting its “anti-party.”
The “Anti-Race Weekend” is free of charge and invites Vegas locals to join in for a weekend of anti-Grand Prix sentiments. Viewed as a marketing stunt, the announcement has mostly elicited praise from Las Vegas residents who are now trying to cope with a second iteration of the race which may become a fixture of the town.
Crazy Horse III has indeed leaned heavily on the marketing angle, urging people in Las Vegas to ditch “lapses” for “lap dances.” Brash marketing aside, social media users on X have hailed the “anti-party” as a fantastic idea – not only from an advertising perspective but also for successfully capitalizing on the mood in Sin City.
Users jested that strip clubs are now making smarter decisions than elected officials, and one user noted that the marketing trick was not really “a trick” per se, meant to attract new customers, but rather to commiserate with locals who have had to change their lives, often to great lengths, to accommodate the disruptive and short-lived race.
Why Choose When You Can Have “Laps” and “Lap Dances”
One user even condemned the race as something that simply helped “the rich get richer,” indicating that Las Vegas may be very willing to give the F1 Grand Prix a cold shoulder as soon as possible.
For now, though Crazy Horse III is not going to miss up on the race itself. Rather, the club said that it will be streaming the race on its 30 100-inch TV screens for gearheads to come and enjoy what turns out to be both lap dances and laps.
In the meantime, Las Vegas is preparing for the Halloween holiday, with the city offering many different opportunities for family-friendly and adults-only fun. As Vital Vegas put it underneath Crazy Horse III’s X post: “Strip clubs want everyone to be satisfied.”
