Scott Richter, a skilled casino player and gaming influencer who won a million dollars a year ago, has spoken about his love life and his inability to find true love. In an interview with Kennedy News and Media, the Colorado native provided an insight into his struggles.
Many of His Suitors Are Only Interested in Money
For context, Richter won his $1.08 million jackpot in December 2023 from a $250 bet in Las Vegas. Since then, he has started regularly posting videos of his playtime and is currently boasting some 600,000 subscribers on YouTube.
In his interview, the 53-year-old said that it is hard to know whom to trust as many of his potential suitors are nothing more than opportunists seeking a “sugar daddy.” To make matters worse, many of them have very bad addictions and seek his attention in hopes of him giving them money to gamble.
Richter emphasized that this is definitely not what he is looking for in a relationship and regretted how difficult it is to know who is truly trustworthy.
Richter Isn’t Ready to Give Up
While Richter’s social media presence has had some benefits, his gambling videos have had the unintended effect of attracting many opportunists. Many of the people he meets thanks to his videos are too gambling-oriented for his tastes, with some of the female fans seemingly hoping for a relationship that would see the two of them gamble all day long.
Luckily, his time as a gambling influencer has at least taught him how to differentiate potential love interests from women who only seek a “sugar daddy.” He added that many of the latter people tend to be very obvious.
Richter noted that his gambling videos seem to have distorted people’s perception of him. In order to rectify that, he emphasized that he is a normal guy who doesn’t really spend a lot of money on himself and prefers to live a simpler life.
He also noted that he has not given up on trying to find someone to celebrate his wins with or console him when he loses. He noted that he is not interested in short-term flings or long-distance relationships.
Richter’s gambling fame is, luckily, not only about gloom and loneliness. While he regretted that he is yet to find a true love, he did admit to enjoying some of the benefits that come with his fame, including expensive dinner invitations and free tickets to key sporting events.
