Real Madrid’s Odds of -110 Make Carlo Ancelotti’s Men the Betting Favorites
Judging from what we’ve seen so far in the 2024-25 Spanish La Liga, this is going to be a two-horse race run between Barcelona and Real Madrid. The two most successful Spanish clubs have been brilliant so far, both when it comes to scoring and defending.
Real Madrid are 7-3-0 in La Liga with 21 goals scored and just 7 conceded. This makes their offense second in the league, just behind Barca. Their defense, however, is the best.
In their most recent game, Los Blancos beat Celta Vigo on the road 2:1. They had to work really hard to earn that win, as the home team put on a real good performance, particularly in the second half.
The hosts even had a fantastic chance to score in the closing moments of the game, but the ball missed the target by only a foot or so.
Barcelona Predicted to Lose 2024 El Clasico on October 26
Barcelona’s strongest weapon this season has been their offense, which is no surprise given that they’ve got such players as Robert Lewandowski, Lamine Yamal, Raphinha, and Dani Olmo on the roster.
Their defense has also been pretty solid, even though their first-choice goalie Marc-Andre ter Stegen missed the last five games. His replacement is supposed to be Wojciech Szczesny, who’s played just one game since June.
Defenders Andreas Christensen and Ronald Araujo will also miss Saturday’s game. Inigo Martinez and Pau Cubarsi are expected to start as center-backs. Given that they’re 5’11 and 6’ respectively, there’s justified worry that Barca may have problems in the air.
What’s giving them a little bit of hope ahead of El Clasico is that Los Blancos haven’t scored a single header in the 2024-25 La Liga.
Real Madrid vs. Barcelona Prediction
Real Madrid allowed Celta to make some really good chances, most of which they blew. But Barca’s players might not do the same. This is why we’re certain Barcelona will score, but so should Real Madrid. That’s the reason why “both teams to score” looks like the best bet for Real Madrid vs. Barcelona.
